Helmet liners are beginning to evolve in 2017
January 7, 2017
Our review of helmets for 2017 shows that manufacturers are bringing to market new helmet liners that show promise of improving protection over the traditional EPS foam liners. Interesting developments include:
- Smith's models with collapsible plastic modules looking like hollow straws
- POC's honeycomb material
- Kali's carbon nanotube material and Conehead designs with dual density impact foam in helmet liners.
- Leatt and Kali's hourglass disks from Armourgel in their liners.
